How does bSaves Conserve Energy?

bSaves is designed to save energy by displaying mostly black pixels on the computer monitor. It is known that white web pages require around 74 watts to be displayed, while black web pages use only 59 watts. As you can see, the bSaves webpages are primarily constructed with black pixels. With this in mind, the black google requires less energy to search the web. So why not use bSaves for your primary web search needs?

The search engine was created in hopes of refreshing the idea of saving energy and acts as a reminder that each one of us can make a difference. The bSaves search engine is powered by Google Custom Search and offers another step towards energy conservation.

The Classic Google has over 200 million search queries made per day. Our ultimate goal is for everyone to switch over to bSaves. This would save 750 Megawatt-Hours a year!
